Antique Qing Dynasty Chinese Mandarin Court Necklace Kingfisher Coral Beads. Beautiful antique Chinese Mandarin Court necklace. Symbols of wealth and status worn by women during the Qing Dynasty, which lasted from 1644 to 1912. This fine piece is decorated with rare brilliant blue kingfisher feathers and salmon-colored coral seed beads. The "chain" portion is intricately made with peyote or gourd-stitched coral seed beads.
Two larger beads possibly amber? Coral dyed natural fiber cord attaches the coral chain to pendant.
This connection features an auspicious Pan Chang / endless knots leading to pendant arrangement. The larger pendant is (1 3/4across x 1 1/2long) mounted with kingfisher (significant loss) and beaded coral. This pendant a teardrop of coral seed beads 1/2 on both sides. 19 drop from top to bottom.
