Exquisite and lovely vintage Sardinian Red Coral bead strand necklace with 18 karat yellow gold diamond clasp set with diamonds. The 1940s Retro style necklace consists of 53 round cylindrical beads 9x9 to 6x6 mm which are graduated and calibrated into this fine 46cm (18.1) necklace. The clasp is crafted in a swirl like design from a 18K yellow gold with two rows of diamond accents. The 12 round brilliant cut diamonds have an average H white color and VS2 clarity and are about 2mm each in diameter. Total diamond weight is estimated in the 0.35 carats range.

Gross weight of necklace is 40 grams. The clasp is signed with a maker's mark "AT" and a 750 hallmark for 18K gold. Absolutely scarce antique and vintage collector jewelry piece and one of the rare 1940s Retro red coral necklaces and jewels.
