Nepalese Ghau Gau prayer box pendant beaded with genuine vintage Turquoise gemstone & beautiful Orange Coral Beads handmade Nepalese golden filigree vintage necklace. This pendant is strung with Tibetan genuine blue turquoise oval beads and orange coral gemstone beads that are spaced with bronze beads that are approximately 4 to 8mm. This is an old unique Ghau Gau obtained from Nepal a few years back and extremely hard to find. This Beautiful old Nepalese Ghau is gold plated and has intricate design and decorated with delicate Cabochon turquoise and Coral.

The back of the Ghau prayer box fits snugly & is accurately sized so there should be no worry of it falling out. The lower piece of the Ghau is the traditional dorje with a charm of genuine turquoise, coral & a filigree brass bead. The golden Gau Ghau vintage pendant is approximately 40mm wide and 50mm in height. The blue Tibetan oval chunky turquoise beads are approximately 22mm.

The orange oval coral beads are approximately 24mm. Total length of this necklace is 22 which makes it perfect for layering.

A Gau (also spelled Ghau or Gao) is a Tibetan Buddhist amulet container or prayer box, usually made of metal and worn as jewelry. As a small container used to hold and carry powerful amuletic objects, the Gau is culturally equivalent to Latin American package amulets, African-American conjure bags or mojo hands, South American charm vials, and American wish boxes.

Because they are worn as jewelry, Gaus are made of metal and are often ornamented with semi-precious stones, but they vary enormously in style according to the taste of the designer. Many Buddhists in Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan, India, and now all over the world use a prayer box pendant called a "Ghau".
