VTG ITALIAN RED CORAL 17 STRAND TORSADE NECKLACE 14K GOLD & DIAMOND CLASP 133.6g
Up for your consideration is this SPECTACULAR vintage torsade necklace! This piece consists of 17 strands of natural red Sardinian coral beads. The color is deep and saturated, and 100% natural and untreated. The coral beads vary in side from approximately 3mm up to 7mm in diameter. The surfaces of the beads have a lovely polish and lustre!
These coral beads are of very high quality! This necklace was photographed under direct natural sunlight which made the beads appear to show more variation in color than they actually do in the hand. Overall this necklace is very uniform in color between all of the beads. This necklace measures approximately 17 1/2 long in overall wearable length (shorter when twisted depending on how tightly you twist it), and is finished with a very substantial solid 14K yellow gold clasp. The clasp measures approximately 30.5mm long by 17mm wide.
It features 14 3mm wide round cut natural white diamonds, which together weigh approximately 1.54 carats total. The gold in the clasp alone is approximately 1oz, and is hallmarked 14K on the hidden tongue.
Overall this necklace weighs a hefty 133.6 grams on my digital scale and is in EXCEPTIONAL condition.
